Fuel pressure issues

Featured Replies

Believe it or not there aren't that many variances. If memory serves, the FPR keeps the FP 33.5 psi ABOVE manifold vacuum?I'm trying to recall this from the FSM.Once you know where/when the problem is happening,it should point the flying fickled finger of fate at the culprit.

Well with high pressure fuel line @$6.49 a foot I've decided to cram a "little person" politicly correct? under the hood and let one of his little fickle fingers point out the culprit. That was mean but damn that hose is high! A friend of mine rear-ended a car driven by a little person the other day. He asked him if he was ok and he said "well I'm not Happy".

Go ahead..say it:"smidgit".

Yeah,FI hose ain't cheap. What about borrowing some line or borrowing some 4AN hose with fittings just for the test process?

Also little tip:

IF you replace the FPR and that doesn't do it,take it back off and soak it in rubbing alcohol over night. Then let it sit in the sun for a couple hours.THis will get rid of any fuel smell and the store SHOULD let you return it.

I wouldn't use non-injection-rated fuel line long-term, but I certainly wouldn't hesitate to use it temporarily to run around the block with a fuel pressure gauge stuck to the windshield. Go ahead and use the cheap stuff.

It looks like some kind of breathalyzer attached to wiper blade and kind of works like one. The more beer I drank the worse the car ran.
