L24 TWIN SU's....??

Featured Replies

There are a few sets for sale at the moment, any experience with these on the L24 (240K)

just wondering it I should through a set on? or leave the standad carb set up.

Im confident it would be better, but enough to justify the change??

Thanks Gurus!

I'm running a set on one of my coupes, pretty happy with it, alot of people don't seem to like them though for tuning purposes...

LOL! Really?? What could be easier to tune than SU's???

about as basic as you can get, and 10 times easier than tuning 3 webbers!!

new to this carby thing. would there be much difference between twins and triples

The only thing I can imagine in those situations where guys are hating tuning SU is that they are chasing carbs that are 90% worn out. At that stage of life, yes they can be a pain to tune because they won't hold a tune.

It's safe to say that a set of SUs once returned to square one i.e. rebuilt, are the easiest carbs out there to keep up with..... oh, there's that pesky check oil in the dampers a couple of times a year thing but other than that.....

I'd suggest looking for a set from a 240z, the Hitachi made units.
