must not have hooked something up right

Featured Replies

not sure why but my idle wont go down till i come to a stop. if keep rolling it won't drop but as soon as i stop, it drops. anyone else run into this problem?

I know on my 76, there is a thing (not sure of the name) that helps the idle from falling when you are moving. I think it's called an anti stall device. It's the thing in the red circle. My RPM's stay around 2K until I stop. It also seems to keep the RPM's up for shifting.

That's the anti stall dashpot. Also if you have a California car, the altutude switch could also cause what you describe.

will the vin# tell me if its a California car? thanks for the tips do you think i could use a TB off a maxima without the bdcc?

Sounds like the BCCD or BCDD?? it's a wire in unit under the throttle body. When it goes bad, the idle will drop all the time or as soon as you let off the gas. Z_Tyler_Z's 76 280Z has one and it was messing up for a while there.
