stub axle

Featured Replies

hi guys, im redoing my 260z, i removed everything, now im reinstalling all parts and cant find the stub axle nuts, does anyone the correct size nut, i know its metric, is it fine pitch, etc

14mm?

your talking about the little drive lines going to each rear wheel right?

i just had to take my passenger one off on my 280z and im almost positive they were 14mm for the bolt and nut.

EDIT:

im a idiot and didnt realise your were asking what size as in how long and thick they are, not the metric size of the wrench end LOL

sorry, no the stub is the splined short end of the axle that presses into the hub for the strut, its a large nut

Get the 280ZX Turbo nuts. They are the same thread and pitch but don't need to be peened so if you take them off again you don't have to grind on them.

The stub axles threads are 20 x 1.5. Get the nut from the 280zx as Jon indicates. There should be no problem getting them Nissan.
