While I haven't taken the tail lights apart I wondered if someone could make a metal piece to replace it. It wouldn't look original but better than peeling plastic chrome.

Someone can plate the plastic with "chrome" but not sure who it is.

I think Zsondabrain does a very cool resto-upgrade to LED with the taillights if you ship him the assembly. He polishes it up nicely, too. Someday...
