Posted July 14, 200915 yr comment_289536 I recently purchased a 1973 240Z in Arizona and I plan on taking the car to the Dallas, Texas area. I need to put the emissions equipment that was removed from the car back on the engine. I am unsure whether all 1973 models have the EGR installed, or if the car has a California and Federal models. I have all the equipment from a 260Z with emissions that looks similar to the pictures in the 1973 Factory Service Manual. Any help or links is appreciated. July 14, 200915 yr comment_289561 Carl is more the expert, but I believe that all of the Z cars had EGR valves as original equipment. I know that my 71 had one when I bought it. July 14, 200915 yr comment_289562 No, all Z cars had PCV valves. EGR was not on the '70-72 cars—no bung in the exhaust manifold for it.I'm pretty certain that all '73s had EGR, but not certain enough to bet money on it.
