Can anyone tell me if the 28L ( 1978) eng is an interference engine ? Just wondering if I bent all the valves when the camshaft broke .

Sorry to report, but I think it is. If you remove the valve cover and you can tell if any of the valves were in the down position under the portion of the cam that was no longer turning, then the valves that were down are probably bent.
