I just joined I have had my Z car on and off since 1980. I just repurchased it from a friend who has had it for the last 20 years. I am planning to redo it for my wife. It is a 1973 240Z.

Welcome to the forum, I just joined last month. It's a nice place to hang out and gain lots of insight into the does and don't of Z-car redos!

It's great that you repurchased your Z after all those years ... Zs do get in your blood! Can you post a few photos of your 240Z?

welcome aboard. cool, a wife that can drive a stick. :)

good thing about michigan (and ontario) winters-lots of time for restoring and fixing.

Welcome! Where in Michigan? There are quite a few Z's scattered around the state. You don't see many but they are around.

Welcome aboard!! Great to have you....

And how GREAT to get your old one back! I wish that I could have found my first one, but the trail had long vanished when I began looking again.

I'm confident that you will enjoy your time here. The forum members are quite well versed and willing to assist.... and the archives are simply full of useful information 24/7 with a click of the 'search' button.

And the carbs that were on the car when it went away, are now total junk and yes, they need to be replaced. That's the new standard answer for '09...... Nyuck nyuck
