A few 'simple' problems...

Thanks, don't worry about it. Good news is I hooked all 3 lines up to the vac barb, and got the defrost to work, it blows hot air! However heat won't come out of the vents... no matter which setting it is on. If it is on Bi level, heat comes out defroster but cold air out the vents...

What does this mean? A stuck heater 'door' or flap??

Still runnin pretty rich, going to check the CTS, TTS, CTS, AAV,AFM once it stops raining.

Thanks

Can you take a picture of what you have done and post it. I am assuming that you are aware that thesome hoses tie onto the silver tubes adjacent the vacum storage bottle.

Don't know if the system changed so much by the time it got to the 280's but the eyeball vents in the 240 are ONLY for fresh air.

You'll never get heated air out of them unless it's an extremely warm day outside and your cowl bucket is hot.

E - they blow cold with AC.

Sorry Stephen - missed your post.

Rick, I think you misundestood why I said that. I haven't worked much with the 280Z factory air (mine is aftermarket) but three lines coming from the one intake barb is not the correct hookup and likely why the mode doors aren't operating properly. The other lines pull from the magnet valves and the storage bottle. Splitting it three ways likely won't produce enough vacuum to open the doors.
