After sitting with a full tank of gas for 6 months, the gas gauge quit working. The needle is dead at the total bottom.

Is there an easy way to test the tank unit in the car, or the gauge in the car, to help determine which one is bad?

Where does the gas gauge get the electricity to operate; from the tank or a feed under the dash?

Thanks!

I'm not trying to be an a**, but you've got some of the information you require in your previous threads on the same topic.

You might consider just adding on to your other threads with continuing questions.

Doing so will help anyone who comes along later, since it is possible that they will have the same questions or similar problems.

Good luck with your tank, tracking down gremlins can be an irritating process...

Nissanman and I both told you how to chck the gague . Did you try that?? If the gague didnt read full , then you either have a bad gague , loose or broken wire or a bad connection. Nuff said :disappoin

I'm sorry, I missed the replies to the right thread. The email didn't get to me that there had been a reply. Got the info now and will do the tests.

Thanks!!!
