I have a question about horsepower.

(not sure if this is the right forum)

With my 260z what is the best way to get 300 HP out of it?

Best by who's definition? Mine would be to put a V8 in it. If you do an LS1/T56 combo you'll get better mileage than the L24 with SU's too.

well i want to keep my 260 engine (low buget) and just make it as fast as possible.

Low budget, 260 engine, and fast dont really go together.

One of those variables has to go.

ok LOL well i dont have the $$$ for another engine but i could put in a cam get it bord out(dont know how to spell that) get su carbs and...... what els could i do? *forget the low buget thing*

Well, lets say I know some people who have over $9000 in their N/A engines alone. And they are making 300-350hp.

Cheap(er) power will come from a turbo engine. With the L series engines that is.

Heres another question you should be asking,

How much Horsepower did the Works Rally Cars put out?

Back to your question about boreing out, theres a kit you can

buy on MSA that gives you 3100cc's like a 300ZX.

It turns a 280Z (it says in the cataloge) into 3100 CC !

Their Kit includes

~NEW stroker crankshaft

~89mm pistions

~Pins, Rings

~Connecting Rod

Pistions are disigned to accept machining for a variety of blocks and

head combinations and steal head gaskets can be used to

alter compression ratios.

Last I heard it was $1500.00

Says there out of stock but heres the link anyway
