REDLINE TV show last night!

Featured Replies

Just happen to be watching the REDLINE show last night and they were covering a SPORCOM event (sport compact tuner car show) here in SoCal. As the camera was panning over the event cars I see a shot of Tod Kaneko's orange 240Z.....I was highly surprised to see one of our fellow Z car lover's car at the event. To top that off, a little later in the show they did a short feature on Tod's Z. The commentator mentioned that although it is a 70s vintage car, it is as spectaular as any of the current tunner cars. Very nice to see a 30+ year old car is still very exciting! Did anyone else see the show?

I saw it. And the funny thing is.... I woke my wife out of a dead sleep to tell her to look at the TV. She was like. "Oh, that's cool" then rolled over and went back to sleep. I thought it was pretty cool seeing a 240Z at a show that was filled with "Cream of the Crop" Imports and some of the top builders in their class.

And like the 5-Axis guy said, "it's a 30+ year old car but it fits right in" or something like that.

Love seeing our Z's on shows like that.

Dave.

Yeah, I freaked out because I had just switched over to Speed and low and behold, there was a beautiful 240 making most of the other cars look like glorified grocery getters which, of course, they were.

The first time I saw Tod's 240 was at the 30th anniversary of the Z car in Las Vegas 2000. I was certainly inspired by his Z.
