hello all! i've read where a few people have had interference with the MSA header on the stock SU manifold. but all of them that i have seen this issue on (madkaw and marty rogan) were the 6-2-1 header; whereas i have the 6-1 header. does the intake interfere on the 6-1 header as well?

also, if i do decide to grind down the coolant passageways, will i have to weld anything? or is it just grinding?

one more question, how are you guys mounting your return springs if you aren't running the heat shield?

I just bolted a 6-2-1 header on my 73 with 72 carbs and had no problems.

You should be able to grind away with out any issues. i think the problems are with the 6x2 headers only.

an update - the MSA 6-1 header fits PERFECTLY. the only adjustements i needed to do upon test fitting was bend the 2 extreme edges of the heat shield out about 1/4". otherwise, PERFECT
