niceee.. how much did everything cost? im thinking about doing that too? any suggestions or locations in so cal that u know of? ahah thanks

How very exciting! Looking great!

It's been quite a treat over these past few months watching some of these projects come together. This one, Mike's car returning to the road, Jim's (a7dz) orange Series 1, and others. (Please don't be offended if I missed one of you by name, my memory isn't all that great anymore.) Keep it up guys and gals...

Nice going Juan, she's looking good! Keep us updated with the assembly progress and new photos.

Bruce

It's impossible not to smile looking at those pictures.

Congratulations on your progress

Looks great. Body looks smooth and tight, paint looks like you reach inside it.

Thank You for the kind words fellows (Arne,Bruce, Zak,Jonathan,FairladyZS30, Surfsup). The car project is going very fast at this point. Now that the body is fixed Im going to overhaul the engine and during this procces the interior components are going to be order.

I now the engine part is going to bring some new clues. The electric stuff is one of the hardest parts to do and plenty of questions are going to be asked.

Surf The body work cost me very cheap due to my friendship with the general manager of the shop ONLY $2300 plus new hood(175 + shipping), hatch(70 + shipping), radiator core mount($90 + shipping)@ bad dog parts- and headlight buckets(70+ shipping)@zbane.

Wish You luck on your project. In California I bet You can find a lot of places to fix your car but prices are going to be high as hell.

My next goal is try to fix the dashboard. It have some craks, but Im going to try another´s member method I saw couple of weeks ago in this forum.

I have a pict here of the baby with the dash. The color is kind of grey and have some craks but I think it can be repaired.

Looking good Juan! Are you going to re-assemble it yourself? I'm always impressed when someone tears a car down to the bare shell and gets it all back together successfully. I'm good at stuff like this but have never actually done a project on that scale. Thinking about it makes my head spin. Have fun with that dash and let's see some pics in the dash repair thread when you're done.

I would have pulled the dash. I found rust in my firewall, coming from the drain line under the cowl...before and after pics.

Good luck with the dash...

I stink at editing my pics for size
