Roof racks for a Z

Featured Replies

Awesome! I just bought my new bike today and I needed someway of lugging it around in my Z... Very useful thanks a lot!

I have a Thule trunk mounted rack, that is similar to the design z-bane shows, and it works terrific on all my cars. It has the individual "holders" to carry up to two bikes (they make one similar for 3 or 4). I used it to carry two bikes just yesterday. I bought it and an REI store several years ago, but I believe this is the model:

The two parts that brace on the car are adjustable, so they can fit everything from a van to a normal car trunk. This also allows you to adjust the carrying angle of the bikes as necessary. The 4 straps fit great on the top lip of the hatch and the bottom of the bumper on my Z's. The metal hooks on the ends of the upper straps have a rubber coating so you don't scratch the paint.

If it stops raining here, I may go put it on to get a photo to illustrate the setup! :classic:

Hey Guys, Thanks for all the input... MikeB, Thats what i am after.. thanks all

I'd be curious to see a bike mounted to that OEM luggage rack, as it does not appear to have any attachments to do so?
