Yeah..they said they kept some paint as leftovers. Since I paid for all the supplies I think I'll take it with me for some touch-up stuff! This week is for final suspension paint and fitment, and ordering new stainless fuel/brake/clutch lines from Classic Tube. (crossed fingers) Let's hope they do as good a job with the Z as they do with American muscle....

...more pics soon!

Thanks for the support!

Steve

XRay, now thats done right.

Your baby looks real good, your painter was without a doubt very thorough.

When I see reflection like that all the way down to the rockers, in a color such as that, I almost thought it to be one of my creations. Whew, that's nice...can't wait till she's all done.

Post pics when you can for all of us to enjoy.

I had one that Color I bought new in 1972. Don't have one now but some day I am going to buy one and it will be Lime Green!

Yeah, looking at my estimate it's about a 90/10 split. 7k for labor, $700 for materials. Of course, an estimate is only an estimate, so it will probably be higher when it's all said and done...SRC

That's where mine ended up. $7,800. That included some body work and a custom stripe.

Glad yours ended up there. My final cost was almost double the estimate...I suspect he found out my profession and "took his time," but whatever. It's back and I enjoy it. Unfortunately it needs some touchups already, but I'm not inclined to take it back to the original painter. I'll just deal with it until I can't, then send it to a better paint shop.

Yeah,

But yours looks like a concours level restoration. Mine's not. Looks fantastic!

Wow!!! Looks amazing!! My favorite color on the Z. We hope you come up and park it next to my dad's lime car in the Z show soon:)
