upper rear panel body replacement piece

Featured Replies

the previous owner of my Z tried to repair my upper rear panel and it won't suffice for my restoration project, so I am looking for a replacement piece for my 78. I have only found a new one on MSA for a 240 and it is more than I want to spent, but says it can work on a 280... not so sure about that.

1. Will the MSA one fit well on a 280?

2. What other places sell them?

3. Know of any good parts cars with decent one?

4. Will you give/sell me yours off your car? :P

Nice try E but; they wanted 180.00 when I called on mine. Nissan's part number is 999M1-M0000./ Good luck

That's interesting, I copied the text directly from their site.

Look under "Bits and Pieces"

I wonder if "Bait and Switch" might be a better name, or if a discussion would be effective.

I did the same thing and when I called to order it. They said no way Nissan wants more then 110.00 which is true. Need less to say I did not order one from them just because of the price switch.

I wound up doing the cut and weld thing for the same problem. Time consuming but it looks ok. Guess it depends on what level you're taking the restoration to.

First Gen Z; could you post the section where you found it at Zedd Findings?

I've looked and can't find it.

Jim;

I would of cut and spliced mine also but there was nothing left to splice. There was more metal in a cheese grater.

Thanks guys for all your help! Looks like I'll go with Banzai.. That is if they can stick with that price. If not, i'll go with courtesyparts.
