the car is a 72z with a 280 engine.

I have electronic ignition in the car now, and am adding a msd 6al box with a blaster 2 coil.

the challenge is in know how to hook it up to keep the old tach functioning.

MSD tech support suggested a 8910 tach adapter and sent me a diagram showing how to hook it up.

Does this thing work?

Any suggestions?

If wired in correctly, the tach adapter works like a charm, it even smoothes out the tach pulses, so a previously erratic tach will now function beautifuly.

Its really not that hard to put this sort of thing in the Z section, considering it makes up more that 75% of the forums...
