Anyone Know of This '70 240Z In Lake Forrest, CA?

I've never see it before but that's obviously not the original hood. Not sure of that's important to you or not. I guess it depends on if you're looking to do an all original restore or a visually accurate restore.

Yes, I would like to have an original car. I guess I could always replace the hood with an original.

I'm always afraid of cars with brand new paint - always wonder what's underneath. I'd want to have it thoroughly inspected for rust...

Is it me, or does the first picture look like the gas door is perfectly round?

It looks to me like he doesn't know what original condition is-

To the best of my knowledge all 240Zs came with a front bumper, rubber trim on the rear bumper, a better aligned, non-vented hood, a dent free lower valence, grills on the rear deck, a single chrome and stainless door mirror, no overspray on the front combination light and side marker seals, front grill, and wiper boots. Add that to no pictures of theengine compartment, and interior and you have probably got a quick tape-up style paintjob which meant the beauty is only skin(paint film) deep. I would have to have a looksee myself to be convinced the parts weren't put on a driver, and a quick cosmetic job done. The price begs questioning too. If it was suitable to restore, it could be a good candidate, but there isn't nearly enough in the ad to tell.
