I've read the chrome painting method posts but could't find any on using some kind of tape for the window frames. I've seen Z's with the chrome painted and I've seen them with some kind of matte black electrician's tape looking stuff applied which I would prefer to do.

Has anyone done the tape method? Recommendations...ideas?

if you're talking about what i think you are then i'm pretty sure its anodized...like what www.sr240z.com has? the other thing that might look nice on some colour cars is black chrome...

On my last one I used satin black spray paint after a light sanding on the chrome. It held up well for the 4 years I had it, but most of that time was spent in the garage.
