What kind of little doo-dads do you have or would you put on the engine, or in the engine bay to make it a little nicer (period-looking or cool, but not cheap or ricey) or more functional?

my wish list:

spark plug wire number-collars

chrome dipstick & dipstick tube?

braided plyester (plastic?) hose covers

thx

I got those aluminum bolt caps in blue and put them on the strut mtg. bolts to dress them up a bit. Also got a set of matching blue wires. Used blue tie-wraps to bundle my harness together at the appropriate tie-points. Polished any billet or aluminum parts including the manifold and valve cover. Have the chrome allen bolt kit from MSA for the cover also.

Your looks nice & clean, but mine has fuel injection stuff all over, a fan shroud, emmissions stuff, etc. I prefer the cleaner look of the nuts & bolts showing (nicely polished or shiney) to the bolt covers. I'll have to start with polishing the valve cover, and go from there.

TomoHawk,

What about doing what the big$ cars do, make a cover and bolt it over the engine-a sort of "Pre-hood" if you will. Make it look like some bodacious intake manifold!!

Are you suggesting I go play in tranny fluid?

I don't care if TC abd Rick are around, you are just plain naughty-go to her room-and take the tranny fluid!
