As Stephen said, be best to leave him be. I doubt that Carl will be back, at least within the foreseeable future. Sure, ..... we miss him but, ... he made his decision, for whatever reason, and we should respect his decision and not harrass him.

He's O.K., alive and well and just getting on with his life.
