fresh air ducts?

Featured Replies

I'm thinking through the cowl vent as I can't seem to find anywhere else on my car where it could get in from.

TomoHawk, here's a better picture of that control I was asking about. My car doesn't have it although the scan comes from my owners manual. There's no spot for it in my car so I know that it didn't get removed somewhere prior to my ownership. Must be in cars with factory air and mine has dealer instaled air.

Great scan! the description really helps too. Now that I know exactly what you are talking about, I can look for it myself, or keep an eye out for it when I'm working under there.

ADD: By golly, my owner's manual has ther vent control too (p. 10) just like yours. If you look at pg. 31, the top-middle picture shows the air flow patterns, and you'll see that the air to the floor vent comes from the cowl intake.

thx

Check post #16 as I have added an attachment showing the ventilation system for a 78. We also talked about that earlier in this thread.

The floor vent control? That's on page 36. We're looking at the same manual.

They list fresh air ducts 240-280, $10 each side.

Without a picture, I can't tell what part that refers to. Maybe the vent 'eyeballs,' or the tubes.
