I have just done the diff in my 71' Zed and I have a spare R200 which has 4.5:1 diff gears (I think?) My question is what parts do I need other than the diff itself. Do I need 260z half shafts and moustache bar??

Any help would be required and vendors who could help me out in the South East Queensland Area, Australia.

Most threads don't cover this well, because we never got the 280z here in OZ, so finding a 280z moustash bar is not too easy.

BTW, what is the highest gear ratio for an R180 ???

Finding a 280z moustache bar is easy. Just look for a 260Z with an R200. There are heaps of them around.

A 280z is just a 260z with a L28 instead of a L26

The 260 2+2 i bought for parts had the R200 moustache bar, r200 with bolt on flanges.

So any of the later model 260z's should have the R200? You wouldn't happen to know when the change over date was roughly would you? Now I'm gonna be scanning the trading post for 260's in search of the rest of the parts I need.
