Hi everyone,

I just bought a 72 240z 4 speed from the original owner. I was wondering some estimated proformance figures on it, the L24 motor is running the following..

- Twin SU carbs rebuilt recently

- stage 1 or 2 cams (redone with the head the same time as the carbs)

- Motorsport Header

- 2 1/4 all the way back exaust

I'd guess 160 hp at the flywheel/118-120 hp at the rear wheels.

Factory rating (100% Stock) was 150 HP, a header by itself won't get you anything; but with a mild cam and the header you should be in the low to (possibly) mid 160 HP range IF everything is set up properly (Carbs, Ignition, Rings and bottom end of the motor in good nick) .
