Castlemaine Rod Shop

Featured Replies

Has anyone used Castlemaine Rod Shop engine mounts to mount an RB into a 70-78 Zed?

Just wondering if there any good and where they sit the engine in the engine bay

I did get some but they had to be modified a bit to make them work.

The ones I am using now fit well on my motor/car and are the same as which I will provide with the mounting kit I am assembling if interest ever gets off the ground ;)

In 6 months to a year I might just be interested in an RB conversion in my zed. Keep us updated. :)

I might be interested very soon but i need it for an RB26DETT, you do those? I'm prob going to use the techniques and parts stoney says in his how-to on hybridz. His car seems very solid after it.

I think the mounts may be different, I never really come across RB26 blocks to test. If you can find out if RB30/RB25 etc mounts fit an RB26 then you should get an idea.

I think Stoney used a 200ZR sump which I have however.

Drunkenmaster,

I'll buy one of you for sure mate, no-one sells a complete kit and i havent heard the greatest things about CRS, But im going to do this conversion eventually and i aint going to be making it myself,

Send us an email mate,

tlawless22@dodo.com.au

Even if i don't decide to go Rb im sure id still buy a kit for just in case if the kit if a good and pro made etc, and all good positioning for a 25

Yeah the RB26 will be different i'd say. Once i have the engine and i know what parts i need i'll get on to you.
