Got nice used professional 1000LB hoist from local auto

mechanic, for $50, who just upgraded to 3000 lb hoist to lift

them 454CI big block babys. So $84.00 total !!!

Harbor Freight has them for $40. I put an L28 on their China stand and it seemed to hold up okay. I also did it by myself, although i'm still having a problem getting the stain our of my drawers!

There was a local discount place here in michigan that had 2 ton hoist for 90 bucks brand new.. and the stand was 30.. you may have to look.. or contact a local dealership/garage to see if they have any old ones they want to get rid of.
