Posted May 19, 200420 yr comment_81858 hey allI have an R180 Nismo LSD that requires the use of half-shafts with circlips, not the older bolt-through design... any hints on where I could find those? from what vehicle?thanks,-e Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/11800-r180-half-shaft-ends-wcirclip/ Share on other sites
May 19, 200420 yr comment_81869 The ones for the 84-88 200SX with the R-180 should work, as well as the later 280Z and 280ZX's with the R-180's (auto's I believe) and some Maxima's and 810's also had the 180 rear. Not sure about the later 720 4X4 pickups, they may also have used the circlip on the front diffs. May 19, 200420 yr comment_81872 Yes, lots of H130's have them--and a few 280's. Like a lot of Nissan parts, kinda a crapshoot. At least they are easy to spot--no bolthead.steve Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/11800-r180-half-shaft-ends-wcirclip/#findComment-81872 Share on other sites
May 20, 200420 yr Author comment_81890 Keith,Steve,When at the junkyard next time, can I just the half-shaft end with the circlips from the list of cars you two gave me, or should I swap over the complete half-shafts over onto my Z?Thanks,-e Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/11800-r180-half-shaft-ends-wcirclip/#findComment-81890 Share on other sites
May 20, 200420 yr comment_81894 I wouldn't bother seperating the halfshafts unless you are somehow re-building them or refreshing the boots. Just swap in the whole thing. The hub bolt patterns are all the same until Z31 and theories concerning strange right/left length differences or S130's being too long have never been witnessed by this humble writer.steve Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/11800-r180-half-shaft-ends-wcirclip/#findComment-81894 Share on other sites
