My 72z has a later model engine and I'm not quite sure how to find out just what year the engine is. I know of the numbers stamped on the passanger side of the block just under the head and I've heard there are also numbers near the engine mount on the driver's side. Does anyone out there have a link to a site that will help me figure out what year my engine is? BTW, it has a N42 head if that narrows it down enough to ID the year.

N42 head was on the 75-76 280's. The question would be is the head still on the block it came on orginally?
