recently on ebay i saw a valve cover that was suppose to be from japan. instead of the usual nissan ohc stamping on the cover, it had datsun 260z stamped on it. does anyone now anything about this, and if so where i might get one?

I saw this auction too and asked the seller for a pic of the item but have received no reply yet. I'm starting to think that it doesn't really exist.

Never seen one with the model designation on it, unless someone did it on a CNC machine in their "spare time" at work.

The ones I know of are, Nissan, Nissan 2400 OHC, Nissan OHC, and the Nissan Turbo on the 280ZX's.

I've never seen this either... and it surely didnt come from Nissan Japan as they never sold the Z as a Datsun, OR a 260Z in Japan.

Like 2ManyZs said, either someone had a bit of spare time and a CNC Mill, or they're playing silly buggers...

thanks everyone for responding. the valve cover did not look like the typical nissan cover so maybe there really was something funny about it.
