  1. In the video he claims he restored the car. I was wondering if the hood is how it is supposed to be? It sure doesnt look restored.
  2. Same here fellas. Sorry to rub it in but now I can finally start driving the Z after hiding it in the shade all summer in Phoenix. The next 8 months will be perfect driving weather!

I wish I had an answer for you. I did the same exact job today witha brand new bottle. Funny how we both did the same job the same day.
  4. Thanks Enrique. I thought the metal nipples coming out were the plastic lines going in and connected under the cowl. New washer fluid tubing is in replacing the old brittle painted over stuff without needing to pop the cowl. Thanks again....
  5. OK - dumb rookie question here. Is the cowl piece only fastened with the 4 screws at the front of the cowl? I just got a new washer bottle with working motor and want to run new washer fluid lines and clear the nozzles. If I remove the wipers and those 4 screws will the cowl pop off and on easily? Anything else I need to factor? Thanks....

Beautiful. I hope you bring it to the Scottsdale Pavilions Saturday car show when you are done so I can see it. . ... Also - any chance you can post some of the 'before' pictures in your gallery and some pics of your progress so we can all enjoy?
  7. That's a great idea. My car is FAR from a show car but these little details are fun and magnets might be cool. Which window and where in the window does the OK sticker go?
  8. Good advice - I go find one
  9. I am ordering some stickers from Banzai and want to place them as accurately as possible on the car. The previous stickers are totally gone from my Z so I could use some measurements and pictures to help with placement. Here is what I am getting: DE-02 Anti freeze info decal DE-07 Tune-up/emissions decal DE-09 OK/final inspection sticker DE-10 NIHON radiator decal (on backorder) My car is build date 11/70. Can I ask you guys to help me with measurements and pictures. For example, it would be useful to know on the tune up/emissions sticker (see attached pic) how many inches from the top of the inside of the opened hood the top of the sticker is. Pictures are even better. Thanks!!!!
  10. Cool - they just wrote me back today with prices for the labels I am buying and mentioned the same that the Nihon radiator is on back order. Good to hear they do a good job for ya....

    I've got # 14160 and I call it a 1970 but I'm sure it was a model year 1971.

I took a pic of my 70Z and ran it throguh some software. This effect is called 'coloring book'. You can print and have your kids color the Z. Pretty cool huh?
  17. Does anyone know if that is the same one as a 70/71?
  18. I'll try again - anyone?

It's unlikely you'll ever find a better example than this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8076148245&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT Prepare to pay dearly for it....
  22. Wait a minute - high octane fuel is worse for emission readings than lower octane? Is that right? Believe me - I dont know one way or another but it seems counter-intuitave....
  23. Check out the picture. The PO put in dual inline fuel filters just before the SU's and removed the single fuel filter (and clip) that is on the passenger side next to the engine compartment light. I want to get rid of the dual filters to be more original but can't seem to find the clip that holds on the filter. Anyone got a spare? Thanks.....

Hey Duff, I watched EBay for 6 months and lost several of these at $60-$75. I thought that price was an outrage. Well guess what? They are now $100 or more for a good one. Unless you get real lucky you just have to pony up for the dough. I hope to see you at the Pavilions Sat. I'll be there around 3:30 to 4:00.....The new carbs are on - just back from Spanky's Still waiting for your gallery pics.
