  2. Shox.com does better than that. Send them you best quote from other sources and they'll beat it. I got a great price on springs and shocks from them (eibach and tokicos). Michael

Thanks again Enrique! I checked it last night and I probably will need to straighten out the screw holes. It'll be hard to get to somem of them but if I just need something back there to hit against I should be able to do it. That reminds me - I need to buy my body work tools now. I'm getting the rotisserie that kmack built me this weekend, so I'll need them soon to work on those dented up floors. I can't wait to get this thing up and spin it around. Weee! Here's a pic of the stands. :classic: Michael

My side bumpers had caps at the end that popped right off. I was then able to slide the vinyl or rubber part out to the side (from the end of the rail), and low and behold found that mine were screwed in to the metal. So they were easy to remove from there. Using solder to fill the holes is a great idea. I was going to try welding mine shut but I'd probably end up warping the body panels pretty bad.

I've heard lots of talk about "Euro" front and rear bumpers but I never caught what the differences really are. Could someone enlighten me on this? Also 2ManyZs could you get a pic of a US bumper and Euro bumper side by side?

    5 reverse gears!!! Sweeeeeett!!!!
  7. Remember you don't have to own a Z to be a club member in most cases - you just have to have some interest in Z cars. Many members of this Z club don't own Z's yet. Now I don't know about the G35 owner in this case, but his reason for joining could simply that he has an interest in Z's (maybe the 350Z). Considering the close relation between the G35 and the 350Z, he could possibly get something out of joining the Z club. Sort of a gray area I guess.

Spudz, I agree that it's a good idea to buy from Zcar community supporters - I have never dealt with strictly Z and didn't realize they support shows and zdriver.com. 24oz was asking for prices and I threw one out. Michael ps next time save the sarcasm till you're sure the recipient really deserves it!

$157 at suspension.com (that's where I bought mine months ago).

Now a topless with those curves would be something (from the side anyway)! That's what I thought it was at first. Oh well... Michael

Is the Jet Hot coating the ceramic coating you're talking about?

I thought z's were supposed to go with T-tops. Oh well.... Ugly either way I guess.
  13. Cool. I'll email you after I take a good look at it. I've also got a couple of Morphine shows if you're interested. But I'm always happy to spread Ween around to anyone who wants to listen! I was big on B&P's back in my trading days... Michael
  14. Not a GD fan but I'm a follower of a band that follows in the same spirit (open show taping, heavy bootleg trading, rabid fan base). This great band is WEEN headed by Gene and Dean Ween. I've got tons of bootlegs starting with their first recorded show in '89 up to a lot of shows from the 2001 tour. I haven't traded in awhile. I think someone threw in some GD shows with one of my trades one time but I didn't really get into it. See http://www.chocodog.com/chocodog/ween/ for more info or www.weenradio.com for a complete archive of streaming audio. MIchael

I've got a gallery of representative Z's painted the stock colors. It's not finished yet but here it is anyway: http://www.utdallas.edu/~perdue/paintcodes.html As far as figuring out what color your car was, it's not coded in the VIN or anything like that. Dig under the carpets or under the dash or look for the sticker over the radiator like 2manyZ's said. Michael

  17. Do they come with free whistler installation?
  18. I don't need a new engine or transmission but maybe when I get to that point you could help me install mine! Are these rebuilt? Do you have a list of engines (blocks/heads and work done)? michael (also in dallas)
  19. I was also going to make a wisecrack on the "Best head" post but thought that may be going to far (or have I already?) oh well... Michael
  20. I frequently have weird noise coming from the rear too - normally after too much Mexican food. Sorry I haven't figured out a way to help that too much! Sorry - slow day at work.... Michael

Hi 350 - sorry but I've sold several of my black parts already and the rest are in pretty bad shape. If you decide to sell the parts sometime let me know. MIchael

  23. Your "240Z in the Rain" pic is now my background image on my home PC. Thanks! Good luck on your search for original tires. Michael
  24. I like the hall of shame. We could use one of those here (crashed Z's).

I had the same thoughts. The big bumpers do nothing for the body lines of the early Z. I like the way he did his amplifier mounting. Could have done a better job with the subwoofer and front speakers but not bad anyway. ALso I don't normally like the big front air dams but it really fits in this case. Maybe it makes the bumpers look smaller? Michael
