kid, i like your enthusiasm:) the 140z and 160z were b210's sold in south africa that were unique in that they came equipped with a nissan l-series (ohc) motor instead of the a-series pushrod motor camo is suggesting that you put an l-series motor into your car to make it similar to these special models never sold in the usa would be a good budget project and great for a beginner who wants to do it himself

pros: i think it's a neat idea, but use a ford smallblock with the dizzy in the front cons: realize that you'll probably be shunned by hotrodders as well as other datsun enthusiasts. you may tell yourself that you don't care, but you will care also, plan on selling it mid project or right after you're completed as this inevitably happens to every one whom i've heard about the exception may be the hybridz v8 enthusiasts, but they have a network, peer and support network

what importing costs? how much do you think these should cost, anyway? fact remains that even if you got it over here, it'd require tons more money to make it worth driving and showing there were a couple on ebay, and nobody really wanted them people who have money to spend want 510's, z's and roadsters people who don't have money to spend buy whatever's easy

i 've driven around all over town, and both the seat and seating position feel great i've got tons of legroom, and that's hard to come by in most old datsun sedans the car is real fun, (even with the stock motor and suspension), and people of all walks seem to love it if i find my toes and calves numbing on a longer drive, i'll keep jon's mod in mind but i don't know if it'll do much good as the c110 brackets are unique since the sliders are already welded to the brackets plus headroom is already at a premium (for me at least!) that's why i couldn't use the 510/z/universal style of brackets made in the u.s.

same exact as you did, but the box is labled "Juran Racing"' and you're right: these fit to perfection! took me a whole hour to install both seats whereas it took me almost half a day to install seats using the american made recaro brackets on my 510

my car measures about 7.5" from rear rocker to floor, and i don't want to go much lower as it will skew the camber/castor and force me to slot the xmember you're probably a lot lower with the flares and all have you done the front coil overs yet?

recovered dash paint looks generic metallic. could've been standard gold originally?

you must've got quite a workout, the k having the heaviest bonnets of all the datsuns

so, if i didn't want to go as low as you did, i'd need taller springs or shocks or both?
