  1. 1) Thinking something sporty. 2) I'm 6'2"/6'3"...all torso (gorilla boy needs ample headroom). 3) Will be driven in the winter (traction control a virtual must). 4) Drive about 60 miles round trip to work everyday. 5) Could be new or gently used. On the current shortlist are: - Nissan 350Z (is there a mod to increase headroom? It's really tight...) - Infiniti G35 coupe (found a mod to increase headroom) - Mazda RX-8 - Bimmer 3 Series Coupe - Mini Cooper S (don't laugh, a bit of a flier, but took one for a test drive and 175 horse and 2500 lbs feels more like a Z than you might think...) - 15 year old JDM Skyline...(a real flier...) Any thoughts or comments on experience with the list or anything I'm missing. Thanks,

Bad bad attitude... I do hope the driver was ok...I think that's him in photos 21 & 22 in the red and black racing suit... 3 fences...umpteen rolls...sheer insanity... Whoever built that roll cage gets to start charging a premium...those photos are built in marketing...
  5. Supply and demand. The 2000GT was basically a limited production concept car. Only 337/351 (a couple of #'s are floating around) 2000GT's were ever built (they were actually built by Yamaha for Toyota). Production ran from 1967-1970 and list price was $6,800. Way higher than most competitors (911's, Z's at the end of the run).

I assume you swapped in a new fuel filter...
  7. A little harsh considering he said someone else will. Still have a hard time picturing those on a Z...maybe on a clown car...

Also try car-part.com It is a composite search engine for a ridiculous number of wrecking yards. A quick search found 51 left fenders ranging from $45 to $170. Welcome to the board. FYI...assuming he is in the US, there are 10 Enterprises in the US...(AL, FL, KS, LA, MS, OK, OR, UT, WI, WV)...

Come on people...the GTR beat the bullet train across Japan!!! It's AWESOME... Check this out: http://www.surfthechannel.com/index.php?page=info&cat=television&show=Top_Gear&eid=88250&season=11&episode=4 By the way, they have all the Top Gear episodes on this site (if you haven't seen Top Gear, you haven't lived...)
  15. Is the dead spot consistent at the same RPM in all gears or just at 80 MPH? Things to consider: 1) Vacuum advance / timing issue. 2) Some form of fuel restriction / pressure insufficiency (fuel filter clogged, weak pump, etc.) 3) Some form of other restriction (head / exhaust / etc.) (this could be a flier).
  16. Sweet...both cars look great...keep posting pictures as you progress on the resto. Welcome aboard!

Haven't been watching, but is the "With All Due Respect" new? :ogre: On a '75 you are probably talking about an Air Flow Meter. Motorsport Auto sells them for $170 or so if you can't find one on the sites. Cheers.

Holy Mecano set-up.... I suppose it isn't noticeable at speed... Just don't slow down...
  22. Yes. See part #2 in the photo below from the Black Dragon catalog. If they're not in, it would cause your problem.

Willing to be corrected on this but: 1) Carbs: 70-72 will have round tops...take intake with it and should bolt right on and be a performance improvement (but will likely need rebuild as has been sitting in boneyard). 73 may have flat tops like the 260Z. You will not want to go to the effort of rebuilding flat tops. Not worth it. Find some round tops. This is a common upgrade. 2) Seat belts: Early 240's (70-71) did not have retractable seat belts. Don't think they'll work in a 260. 3) Bumpers: no clue. Reference others.
