Almost a poll? How many of you check the classifieds routinely?
I got to admit that I have given up on the classifieds here a while ago. I like the integrated forums approach instead of a separate link. I also got frustrated posting in the classifieds here. I don't mind being forced to donate to Hybridz to sell. I do think it cuts down on the scammers.

Bought some carburetors...
What year motor? I would be just as excited about an early e-88!! The cam looks good from here.

Rear valance question?
Why do you want to fill this area that will be covered by the bumper? I filled mine with FG mat and then smoothed with bondo. But I have no bumper:)

Buying a 240z. input needed?
The body is the biggest $$$$ cost and slowest for repair-everything else is easier and cheaper. Too little info to say anything else

Triple Mikuni thread
If my son goes back there for Nationals at Irvine - I will take you up on that offer. I noticed that the smaller main air jet richens the final WOT mixture

Those jumps in jetting sizes are too big. I found with my NA that a full 1.0 add was worth over a point on the AFR's. You might get it with the 155's. Man I should would like to ride in that 'monster'!! Don't forget to calibrate your O2 sensor often. You don't have much room for error.

Dead cylinder #3! Ignition or Fuel?
So am I reading this correct and between the battery change and tapping the injector fixed the issue? You do know that an injector is basically a small selonoid(I always question this spelling). They can stick just like they do on your starter. They can also not want to engage-just like your starter from insufficient batter voltage. It's funny how many cars I have got started with a hammer- The voltage your alternator is putting out helps maintain your battery which is the main source for your electronics. Like I said-you will really enjoy 6 cylinders;)

Dead cylinder #3! Ignition or Fuel?
Got to be an injector issue. Boy you will like your car when you have all 6 cylinders running- . You need to correct hour charging/battery issue Asap. Low voltages can lead to ECU or other electronic problems

Most Expensive Z So Far
Really nothing special huh? You would be hard pressed to recreate that car for less then 50k. Assuming the resto is at show quality level( disregarding the performance mods), you could spend 40k. It might not be to everyone's personal taste, but that level of resto mod is a heavy investment. I'd love to see it draw big money for all our sakes!!

Just bought my 2nd Z !
Chris, That's very close to my Vin# also built in 9/71 Kind of a transition period in some of the first gen cars. What's so scary about dog legs when the whole floor is gone-

Enjoying first trip to CA (Irvine)
We were suprised by the police . I think they were watching us from leaving the event. In indiana the police can't pull you over for rear passenger violation- but you can be ticketed for it if there was another reason for being pulled over. It s a 22$ fine per kid since they are all over 16. But if they were little kids-430$

Enjoying first trip to CA (Irvine)
My son wants to stay for nationals - which is next week. I don't have that kind of vacation left. I'm aware of Zcon which is killing me. One week sooner would have been perfection

Enjoying first trip to CA (Irvine)
But I haven't seen one Z yet:( I thought this was where they were hiding! It is freaking hot out here. No wonder you CA boys are adamit about getting AC. Freeways are crazy as well as the drivers - I think I will stay in indiana , but definitely liking the visit. My boy is swimming Jr. Nationals in Irvine. Oh - we also had our first run in with the CHIPS! Boys jumped in the car after the meet and we went a block and the CHIP pulled us over for no seat belts in the back. Welcome to CA

No updates except frustration! On vacation in Irvine CA right now-so stepping away and also waiting for parts from Todd. I need to do more carb swapping- as far as position- to verify my issues.

Will there be reheating problems if installing an AC System to a modified 240z?
You have to have a car that idles well to have AC. Doesn't sound like your engine as is will support an AC system.

It's an accomplishment for sure to make the pressurized Mikuni's work. I think the programmable ignition is mandatory to keep this builds from blowing up. I thought about pressurizing mine for a while, but since I am having issues with just NA, I think I will stick to FI for turbocharging:) It definitely looks impressive under the hood Kenny

Engine woes-just had to walk away
I actually did swap carbs. I thought I found something when my #4 cylinder issue followed to the #2 after swapping the front two. Then after trying to verify with some more runs #2 looked great. That's what is making this so frustrating. When I think I have found something I can't seem to verify it. I am not totally counting out carbs and I need to get with Todd. I don't like what I am seeing inside the head chambers in 3&4 though.

Engine woes-just had to walk away
So I pulled off the carbs and put compressed air to everything. Didn't see anything in these carbs that is causing my issues. Put them back on and ran the car around the block and still bad. Tested the fuel pump and she flowed good. Linkage was adjusted up and it runs the same. The issue I get is from cylinder to cylinder on the same carb-not a linkage issue. I checked the butterflies and they are in sync-measured with a feeler gauge. I pulled the intake hoping to find a bad intake gasket, but it looks great. Now it's decision time-pull the head or not. Compression is good on 3&4 with a compression tester. Really need to do a leak down, but don't think I have a compressor that will put out enough pressure. I need to check into this. Visually, 3&4 intake side of head look worse then all the others. The inside of the intake runners(inside relative to each other) have a bunch of crap on them. i will try and get a pic, but it looks like oil that is coming from the guide. That's just a wild guess.
