Yeah that cleans it up well. I just bought a tig welder so might clean up some of mine. This won't be my "go to" intake so I don't expect to invest the time you have- but if I did it would look something like yours

Looks great. I'm trying to decide my plumbing now. Not sure if I want to do all the 6an fancy stuff- but it looks cool. I have to run all new lines from the tank on my 71, so I'm starting from scratch. How many hours do you have in making that intake look that good? Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

  5. Well I don't know how to save the pic, but here's the link to the pump http://www.tanksinc.com/index.cfm/page/ptype=product/product_id=84/category_id=61/mode=prod/prd84.htm There's a video on how to install. I remind you that I am running a non Z tank, so your results may very:) Not much of a plan but to cut a hole in the top of my tank and drop this in. No surge tank necessary.
  6. That's why I also opted for using my flywheel for the trigger- less stuff Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  7. But it's just another item you have to find space for and more places for leaks and maintenance . I thought about that route myself , but opted for the in tank option. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

  10. I believe Dave offset grinds the crank to his preferred rod/stroke ratio. When he does the offset if creates smaller journals and he utilizes Honda rods. Your project sounds like mine. 75 intake . I just ordered my pump set up from Tank inc. it would simplify things for you if you can make it work on a z tank. No surge tank needed. That's why I said find 4 bolts that are very easy to access and save them for last. You can always set up a jack stand or wood to hold pan for when dropping the last few bolts. The crossmember will help with the front , but you can use something for the back. That way the pan wouldn't hang from any bolts and tweak the pan Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

  16. I think it's 19% . I'd have to look at the manual Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  17. Everything in here for sale- excluding the air box - came in a kit directly from Mikuni- including the air horns. All these pieces were meant to work together to bolt onto your car and go. The kit came with installation instructions and recommended jetting for your motor. The manual shows hp gains made by using this kit. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

Don't need a right angle drill at all. If the car is jacked up you have plenty of room for standard drill- might use an extension actually Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

And I use a dab of sealant to hold the gasket to the PAN. And a dab of sealant at the lip seals . You don't need anymore gasket sealant then that Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile

Reduce your time by utilizing a cordless drill to remove and install bolts . A drill with adjustable torque is best . It will reduce time on your back and wrenching of the neck. Pick 4 of the easiest bolts to get to and leave them for last ( at the four corners) . Undo the front 2 first and let the pan rest on the crossmember . Then you will be able to see if the crank needs to be rotated. Then the last 2 to drop pan. I just used a Felpro gasket ( non cork) , get them from Autozone. Make sure pan isn't dimpled at bolt holes , work it flat if needed. Install in reverse order. I usually start all the bolts with my fingers and then use the cordless to set them. Then follow up with a 1/4" ratchet. Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  22. I could make more , but need to get my own TIG welder . I'd really like to make one for pressurizing , even though I think this cover would handle a few psi . I forgot to mention the air horns in the sale , but I guess the pics say it for me. Lumens is right , it gets expensive when you add it all up. Don't know if I have ever seen a turn key set up like this for sale. Usually manifold and carbs , maybe some linkage . I've seen the 40's carbs go for 2500$ just by themselves Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  23. Comparing my Mikunis to my friends Webers I noticed that some adjustments were easier for me. My 40's allow for a external adjustment of the float . Very accurate too. I believe acceleration pumps are also more accessible on the Mikunis- but can't say for sure of all Weber models . I think Mikunis are more desirable but also more $$. 24. Time to go fuel injection. Just the next step in learning for me. Love to make wall art out of them for posterity , but these need to be run:) Sent from my iPhone using Classic Zcar Club mobile
  25. Time to say goodbye -but its been fun Complete Mikuni Induction system with custom CIA PHH40's with Mikuni intake, vacuum log, heat shield, linkage to firewall, studs, everything you need to bolt this system on your car and go in the same day. No rebuilds needed-these carbs are spotless and work excellent. I bought these from original owner in a Mikuni box(wish I kept it) . He had put 500 miles on them and sold them to me. All the hardware is excellent. There is an extra T for running a regulator after the carbs. Vacuum log was for using Megasquirt and MAP sensor, but helps pull good vacuum for booster. extra jets Main air-160,170,180,190,200 main jets, 140,145,150,155,160 pilots-57,5,60,62,5,65,67,70,75 accel pumps 40,45 Extra set of needle and seats manuals gaskets I have extra fuel pumps I'll throw in Price is firm and shipping is extra-thanks 2750$ with CAI 2250$ without
