I have found that the oil filled ones like the big barrel bosch ones are best. They are used on many vehicles like some of the old Mercedes V8's etc.. There large size and being oil filled helps keep them cooler. I'm not 100% on a part number but I can try find out however I think the paint on mine is a little faded and it might not be legible.

I'm not an auto electrician but having such a high amp alternator with an old wiring system isn't it a receipe for disaster? (Increase the chances of an electrical fire?) Anyone have more info on this swap?

Hi Don, I believe no 240z's had these as standard but there were the brackets for them. I guess it's very likely it was an optional item. I have heard various stories about using these some say not to leave it others say put it on.

Now your talking I'd some of that, if only there was a Datsun Santa. I'd leave out some rare Aussie spec Datsun parts for Santa on his journey. onuthin: That's a great looking Zcar post some pics of it in the gallery. I love red zeds too

If you were in Melbourne I'd pick bits off it but I don't think the diff ratio would be any good?
