Oops! I didn't notice! Bambi had the sharpest eye for these things. I used to get "Reported posts" from him daily. It's in the right forum now I believe the only "Rarity" issue is how few years it was used. Man! that is a pretty car!

He's talking about 920 gold, a 70 and early 71 color. You know, some people refer this to "Baby Poo gold" or "spoiled mustard", but if you buff this color out, It's DEEP and Beautifull.
  3. The carb with the 2 bolt holes for attaching it to the manifold is likely for the 510 L-18 moter, and not suited for your Z motor. Don't buy it. There's lot's of photos and good information about the carbs you want on the ZTherapy site. Learn as much as you can, so the crooked parts guy won't sell you the wrong parts!

  6. My roadster went to the big nationaly syndicated "Showoff" show on it's "Nisei Week" tour stop. I took some photos, some of the are of cars! http://public.fotki.com/datsunvic/05_nisei_week_showoff/ Enjoy! Not a single S30 to be found.
  7. That's a "Sig Erson" performance grind cam, probably a good match for the 40 DCOE's. Erson did nice camwork in the 70's and 80's and did quite a bit of L Motor cam development. I Think the company is gone now, for quite a while.
  8. It looks good, but inspect it well and be prepared to walk away. Don't sell yourself. battery box, frame box area behind the wheels, window frames, rear hatch area. Please don't buy a pretty Rust bucket with nice paint. No one needs a shiney parts car. Is the Silvia crowd that bad? That's unfortunate.
  9. Victor's little speach to sales, if he ran MSA, "People, See that flashing hold light?", "If it goes out, before any of you answer it, I will have no reason to keep any of you employed." "Comprede? Good!"
  10. Well, I'd have to forgive for the vagrancies of supply. It happens in business. but to lose a sale, and sour a known spender away, would break my greedy heart. If it was my business and if I saw the hold light blinking, I'd know there was a sale slipping away and HEADS WOULD F'N ROLL on the sales floor that day!

I have a position open for a navigator for the two rallye events. Experience welcome, as I have none. Anyone can handle 8 hours in my roadster with race suspension and still read a map?

  13. Now, I'm no business man. As a matter of fact, Mostly I put my ventures out of business quite well. But, in my take of business ethos, if your customer hangs up in disgust after 20 minutes on hold, instead of giving you money, that would be a bad thing. Am I too old fashion for modern retail method?

That's Awesome! Looks like he Worried the mazda into submission. What a beautifull track! From dry SoCal, the green grass and trees look like paradise

I believe Nissans sold well there. Wouldn't doubt there's quite a few. How's the parts situation over there? Hard to come by? How about shipping costs from the U.S.?
  19. The main problem is that another Roadster forum took off http://www.311s.org/ It's like trying to start another classic Z car form in the shadow of this one.
  20. How'd I miss this? What's happening Ed?

  22. Vicky, The one's on Hubbie's red are chromed, right? Did he have to disassemble them to do that?
  23. Not sure.. I think they are clear Zinc as they are in the earlier models. I buy new ones for the roadster all the time (same cap as the 70 Z). To get it ready for shows, it's a small cost for one less visual distraction.
  24. Brand new shiney ones a Nissan, MSA, other vendors. No better substitute than OEM.

Les is Les Cannady (spelling may be wrong) of Classic Datsun Motorsports. http://www.classicdatsun.com/ Two years ago he bought one of the very few CSP311 Silvias in the US. It's kind of rough, but I have confidence that when Les decides to restore it, it will be right.
