  1. The latest Vintage Auto is just out with a write-up on the JCCS. There's some familiar cars and faces. Funny, the best coverage of the SoCal Nippon KyuSha scene is a Japanese mag.
  2. I updated my watched list. Tell me if this link works for those without an account. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/MyAnime/?categ=3&user=datsunvic

  5. I've been completly submerged in subbed anime and J-doramas for the past year. I'm constantly on Veoh.com and loving the new fall season. Meanwhile, my cars slowly fall apart.
  6. If it brings ya any hope.... My 72 was stolen 3 or so years ago.. It was found 10 days later. A little worse from the wear of a joy ride and a smashed heater panel to steal my cheap JVC CD/FM. I hope you also get yours back with as little or less damage.
  7. The second listing from Rocky Auto... I'd be wary of Rocky Auto. My freind has had a real bad time recently with his car (C10GTX in GT-R dressing) he bought from Rocky. They shipped it with a LARGE number of advertised parts, missing and or replaced with less value items. Oh, and the RUST! Conveneintly NOT advertised was a surprise Bonus(?!?) on the deal!

  10. Last year I was very happy and proud when my roadster was used for the JCCS (Japanese Classic Car Show) poster and post card. This year, I almost as proud to at least know the owner of the Datsun represenitive on the show items. http://www.japaneseclassiccarshow.com Regisration will be open on 15th!
  11. copied to the Readster site http://www.311s.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6351
  12. That artical ignores the very first important step of float bowl level adjustment. Remember the float bowl level is the gross mixture adjustment, followed by the jet level which is the fine adjustment. I've help many who have comto me following guides like the one above and said "It's still lean with the jet already lowered" Reason? - His bowl level was too low.
  13. That very same weekend the Roadster group made our annual run from LA to Taft to Ojai to Carpinteria. I might have passed you. 15. That's awesome Carl! A frictionless valvetrain! Neat idea. Can't think of how to make it variable though.
  16. I've been buying them, along with Nostalgic Heros and Old Timers from amazon.co.jp . With a little patience, you can set up an account. Now here's the trick - The magazines are around $12 each but shipping is around $25, so, buy a bunch at once and ONLY buy the ones availible from Amazon.jp . They bundle them up and ship them air via DHL to your door in 3 DAYS!!
  17. Will, get out here next year and you can side-seat the Iron Bottom.
  18. That's Nissan 665 Primrose Yellow, Applied Oct 1969 in Yokohama, Japan. The rims are SSR XR-4 Longchamps 14X6.5@+7 circa 1981
  19. Lightning - Nippon Vintage Auto #6 came out a few months ago with my roadster featured in the Z car theme special section. You'll note the major error in the listed year of my car! I guess we had a comunication problem, as I spoke no Japanese and my interviewer spoke little english! http://public.fotki.com/DatsunVic/my-roadster-article!/ LINK FIXED - Thanks WingZr0 You may want to check out the entire photo site http://public.fotki.com/DatsunVic/ There's been a few more additions you might not have seen yet. As Always - Leave your comments!
  20. Jason, since you are registered, suggest Doheny Beach to them. It's good for a BBQ That's Spilt in distance for the LA and SD people. Looks to me like they haven't settled on a spot yet, so this might be a good time to try for Doheny! I'll come for sure (got a place in my heart for 1st gen Celicas)
  21. Scott - Arne gives good advice - Main shaft! Thats what went bad on my roadster 5, and the symptoms were exactly how you described. Ask Les for a recomendation on a shop.
  22. ありがとうトーマスさん! My information was sketchy third party stuff. You insight is welcome. 写真わ凄いです!! That rear fender looks suspicously familiar.......
