MidwestZ??
Just to keep everyone updated. I contacted Paypal 7/26 and let them know my two concerns with MidwestZ (Chloe). 1. Did they have any info in regards to any issues (health, business etc) 2. Would they help me get my payment back that I made with Paypal in June. They said they had no complaints and no info on any other issues. They also said they would investigate & contact her to get a refund or produce the items. They have given her until 8/6 to respond to to their investigation. To date there has been no response. Based on the glowing testimony from so many of you here and based on my previous interaction that I had with Chloe I can't believe she would purposly try to decieve anyone. I can only guess that something serious has happened to her. I will let you know if If anything comes of this and I'm sure everyone that has dealt with her would like to hear any new info that anyone comes up with. Greg

Michael, These are great cars for the price. I haven't ben able to find a dealer that carries much of an inventory of these. They are always sold out. Where did you get yours? Greg

bumper guards
Would these bumper guards fit a 73 bumper? I know there was some slight changes to the bumper brackets and bumpers starting in 73 but did it effect the bumper guards? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2485651554&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT thanks, Greg

MidwestZ??
Wayne, If you called yesterday (7/26) and left a message then someone is taking messages off her machine. When I tried last week it wouldn't take any message because the machine was full. I faxed her again and they seem to be going through. I included numerous ways to contact me (fax ,phone , email etc). At this point they have my payment (I paid with paypal). Does anybody have any suggestions. Like all of you, I have been more concerned about Chloe then about losing my money. At this point I'm not sure what to think. I always assumed that Chloe worked for MidwestZ. Who own's them? Was she it? It must be more than her working out of home. Where are the new & used parts stored? Was she just a middle man (women)? Is she ill or has she just closed the doors? I would appreciate any advise. Should I continiue to wait, start legal action, write it off? It's been about six weeks since I heard from her. Greg

MidwestZ??
I still have not had any response from her. I sent a Paypal payment to them in June for some ebay items but haven't received anything and no response to emails, fax or phone messages. I tried to call today and the machine said I could'nt leave a message because it was full. Does anyone have their address? I'm going to ask for a refund of my payment by certified mail. I have waisted almost 2 monthes with them.

MidwestZ??
That's good news. How long did you wait from the time you placed your order? My biggest issue (other than waiting for the items I already paid for) was ZERO communication from her since 6/8. Emails and voice messages with no answer. As a last resort I recently faxed her my order (6/29) and I am waiting to hear what the total is so I can send payment. I know it's right around the 4th of July so who knows.

door ding strips
Were the door ding strips factory installed or after market items? In other posts I saw that some were screwed right into the sheet metal and others were glued. My assumption is the glued ones were after market or dealer addons . Is this correct?

Garage or Storage Gotta know
To figure out if you can fit a lift in your garage measure the height of your two vehicles and add 10". That is the minium height that your ceiling needs to be. My rafters were 10'. This could vary slightly depending on the lift mfg. Mine is sold by Eagle Equipment. I moved the garage door opener between the rafters and added 2' foot extentions of track for the door. If you look at the photo you can see the opener above the roof of the GTO. You can also see the difference in height of the tracks next to the other bays tracks. Very simple changes that took about an hour by myself to do. The neat thing about this lift is that I purchased the optional wheels that hook onto the front and back of the ramps while in the air. When you lower it the wheels are lower than the posts so they raise up a few inches. You can then move it around the garage even with a car still on it. You're not stuck with it in just one spot.

Garage or Storage Gotta know
I looked into building another garage but the cost was to high. I ended up with a car lift and can store two cars in one bay. Plus it made working on the car so much easier. I have a photo in my gallery.

MidwestZ??
Well, It's now been 3 weeks with no response (6/8). 5 emails and 2 phone messages left. I am going to try faxing my list to Chloe/MidwestZ. At this point any response is welcome, (yes, no, go away or stop harrassing me!) Just kidding. I really need the parts, if the fax doesn't work I will have to try another source. Any suggestions?

MidwestZ??
Well I'm glad to hear she still there, just very busy. I placed an order 6/8 and have been waiting for a total so I could pay her. I keep asking for a total and if it was being proccessed since some of the items were going to take a few days for her to get in. Still no response in 18 days. They should at least have an automated response to emails to help her out. I guess I will have to wait a while longer.

MidwestZ??
Anyone know if there is a problem at MidwestZ? I haven't been able to get a response from them either by email or by phone since June 8th. I had been trying to place an order with them. Chloe always took a few days to respond but was always helpful. All I get is the answering machine and nothing from emails. Is this a side business or are they away on vacation? I was using them because of the good things I read about Chloe on this sight. Anyone with some inside knowledge? Greg

New dashes??
Thats a big price difference! I was just looking at Just Dashes web page and they show photos of different dashes by make of vehicle. They didn't have any Z photos, lots of american cars though. Do they even do Z's?

New dashes??
Has anyone used Just Dashes to restore a Z dash? I used them about 5 years ago for my GTO dash & console. They did a fantastic job. I think I paid $650 for the dash. My original was trashed. I was thinking of contacting them for my 73 Z. They are in Van Nuys,CA. Anyone with Z experience with them? Greg

Turn signal lever/rubber insert?
My 73 has only the choke, no hand throttle. Does that mean it really isn't a choke but the equivalent of keeping your foot on the gas pedal and maintaining a certain rpm? G

Turn signal lever/rubber insert?
Thanks for the info. The guy who added it on this car actually did a nice job. The stalk matched the headlight/wiper stalk almost exact. Even the wiring looks original. I assumed it was original. Only problem was the left turn signal didn't work when I purchased the car. After close examination I realized that he cut the original stalk down to 2 inches and slid the cruise control stalk over it. It seems like a lot of effort just for cruise control. G

Turn signal lever/rubber insert?
It was the "north/south " area that I was thinking about rather than the front to back for the high/low beams. I guess the much larger stalk that had the cruise control on it just hid the gap. I wonder if the stalk with the cruise was OEM or added from another year car. Mine is a 73, was that an option then? G

Turn signal lever/rubber insert?
I just finished installing a replacment turn signal switch & lever. After replacing the plastic 2 piece steering column cover I noticed that the opening where the lever comes out seems seems a lot larger then needed. The lever I replaced had cruise control on it so it was similar to the wiper /lights lever and hid the opening completely. My long winded question is: was there a rubber piece similar to a shifter boot or grommet in this area? Thanks, Greg

Turn signal lever/switch for 73 Z wanted
FYI, I just purchased a turn signal lever & switch from Allan Pape (see post before this one). Nice guy to deal with, good communication and quick delivery with a very reasonable price. I can now pass inspection! Greg
