animated avitars slow net?
It takes a while to load. You could probably reduce the file size a bit. I used to have an animated avatar that i made, but for some weird reason my work computer would slow down while displaying it. I'd move the mouse, and there would be a delay. Its a fast computer (faster than my home pc which had no problems displaying it). So changed to a non animated avatar. My work computer almost has an embolism trying to open a new window. Maybe because it's a non 3d accelerated graphics card.

I am now Z less
Can you explain this a bit more? I'm not sure what you mean. Sure you can unplug the wires from the back of the IG switch, and pulg them into another on that you have a key for (you dont even need a switch, just some wires). Start the engine, and drive off. BUT, because the IG Switch thats still bolted on the steering column is in the off position, the steering lock will snap on locking the steering when you turn the wheel to the right position. The IG switch assembley is supposed to be bolted on to the steering column with bolts that the heads snap off when they are tightened up. Leavine no way to remove them, unless you drill them out. There are easier ways to disable the steering lock, but i dont want my Z stolen either so i'm not gonna post on here how to do it.:stupid: :stupid:

Hotwiring Engine
I have a L26 that i'm trying to get started. Problem is that i've ripped out all the dash and wiring, so i cant just turn a key. I got a remote starter, and can get it cranking. Petrols not a problem. I connected a wire from the +ve battery terminal to the +ve terminal on the coil, but i cant get it to fire. I've left the other wires from the coil to the distributer (points). I would have though that with power to the coil and the starter was all an engine needed to get it started and running. What should the negative coil terminal be wired to? Anything i missed? Its from a parts car. I want to work out what condition it is in. Looks like its had some work done to it. It has 240z SU's and separate ram flo air filters, and had a Huge yellow after market coil. I haven't been able to get it running, even tried a different coil off a working engine. I dont think the engine has run since 1996.

R200?
If your rear crossmember is straight, you have to change it. If it is curved, you dont have to change it. Do a search for R200. I posted photos of the curved crossmember in another post.

For Interest Only (Toyota 2000GT)
I happend to be invited to the Fremantle Motor museum on wednesday, so I went along. They Dont have a Toyota 2000GT, but they do have a Toyota Sports 800. Which has 2000GT style lights at the front. Tiny little 2 seater car, with a targa style roof. I didnt have a camera with me, but heres a link to the FMM site. Toyota S800 The picture is a S800, but not a picture of the actual s800 at the museum. A Die Cast model of a S800 Modified S800

horror
Yeah I remember them. I think i've seen a red one in perth. I think they would look ok as a convertable, but that window line gives it the "i'm a cheap celica with a body kit" look.

Datsun 128X
Yeah I think matchbox may have made a tupo when they cast 128X into the bottom of the car. I've seen photos of the 126X and it looks identical to the matchbox car. This is where I first read about the 126X http://www.ratdat.com/history/1959to1972/1959to1972_pic.html

I managed to find a Datsun 128X for sale. Bought it on Friday, was Delivered today. !973 Datsun 128X. No rust, but needs a new paint job, and has a smashed drivers window, but i think it was a good buy. Never seen one before, except in old photos on a Datsun history website.

For Interest Only (Toyota 2000GT)
The door handles look alot like (if not identical to) the ones that were fitted to the 1970-1977 toyota celica. I guess some design elements lived on.

For Interest Only (Toyota 2000GT)
I thought they had a 2000GT at the Fremantle Motor Museum, but I was wrong, or maybe they moved it.
