Yeah I'd rather be spending the money on parts for the 240z, not stuff to hang on the garage wall.
  2. Rob PM sent. Oh. I also have one of the stainless steel gutter mouldings. but cant remember if it's for the left or right side. Update: Its the Left Side.

Yeah I dont like the dash either. Notice the typo in the story " the blending the skyline binacle with the 240z glovebox" WTF? Is the passenger watching the guages? while the driver steers. Those wheels dont suit the car much. Maybe if it was painted black they would.
  10. 260z 2+2 Parts The old's are pestering me to get rid of the 260z from the garage so i have some bits for sale. I've already sliced the car in half, as I'm hanging on to the front end for now as i dont know what bits i may need. I'm keeping all mechanical parts for now. These are from my parts car that lookes to have been restored once in its life, but is now well and truely deceased. Good rust free doors. as far as i can tell. Door windows. Rear side windows (2+2) Rear hatch window (demisted corroded and not working). Black interior Most panels. door trims. Rear seats, cloth, average, no rips etc. Dash only, no guages. Fuel Tank. Bonet, very rusty, probably repairable, (suit race or rally car, as sooner or later it may get crunched anyway). Selling localy, pickup only, no shipping anywhere. Can bring some parts to the WA Z Register regular meetings on the last sunday of every month at Rosie O'Gradys in South Perth Pictures available. Send Me a PM make an offer.

Yeah. Piced up a copy. Some nice old school rides in there. The 240Z, theres also a Datsun 1200 coupe with a SR20DET, a nice RX-3 coupe, and a TA22 celica with a twin cam turbo.
  12. The headlight problem may be the internals of the switch itself. The plastic lugs that make the metal contacts connect, wear out, so the contact dont tough anymore, no contact, not circuit, not light. The search feature is a wonderful thing. Read more about it here: http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=11145&perpage=15
  13. Nope Not my car. My floors are almost rust free. The picture. I dunno I found it somewhere. Someone told me its from a cartoon called "Your Under Arrest". Its a 240z.
  14. Yeah Weve seen that before on here. There was a whole discussion about it. It's an Aussie car, and the guy has been trying to sell it for a while now. wants $12K for it or something sutpid:stupid:
  15. I have one, but I'm in australia.
  16. This video is much funnier, because what happened wasn't supposed to happen. It's also an rx7. rx7 blow.zip
  17. For those with dialup, the engine didnt actually catch fire, though there was plumes of black smoke pouring out the radiatior when the engine was running before it died. The exhaust was glowing red from the engine back, and it set fire to something under the car.
  18. I would say this much rust is too much. See photo.

Yes it is possible to put 260Z struts in a 240z. Yes the 260z inserts are longer for the 260z, Nissan did this so that the rear struts would have more travel. No 260Z inserts will not fit in 240Z struts and vice versa. (well they will if you dont mind them banging around). Sounds like your struts have been swapped out for 260z items.
  20. I find cameras work best Where are you from Rusty? This would be a Right Hand Drive car?
  21. It's a Japanese Domestic Market car. Its a Fairlady Z (the fact that it is registered as a fairlady 2 means that the person that entered it into the registration system couldn't read properly). It's neither a 240z or a 260z. Its has a 2 liter engine. If you want to compare it to another model, its closer to a 260z, as the 240z never came out in a 4 seater body. So does your car have fender mount mirrors? Are they electic, and does it have electric windows also? These were options on the CGS31.
  22. Some early grills were also silver gray, the same as the rear panels. I think mine was under the black paint when i stripped and restored it. but that was ove a year ago now, and i cant remember exactly.

Damn your laws are Harsh!! In Aus it doesnt matter if you have your drivers license, rego pagers or insurance papers with you or not. Most people keep that stuff at home (apart from the Drivers licence) All that matters is that you have a licence, (sat the tests, passed, and keep paying the renewals) not whether its in you pocket when you are driving.
  25. Did you report him to ebay?
