He has to sell it for what the auction finishes at. That ebay policy. If he doesnt, he should be banned from ebay, and the winning bidder should take legal action to enfors the sale at the finishing bid. I think it will sell for more thatn $4000 though. Why is he selling it? He only bought it a couple of months ago? Did he buy it to resell it to make a profit? It's a reall pity the original seller never let the auction finish.

Its not bad enought that these cars were crushed and sent overseas to be turned into hyuandai's and fridges by scrap metal merchants because they weren't valued by their owners, had all the front struts pilfered by 510 owners looking for brake upgrades. Now the few that managed to survive are being hunted down, bought for a pittance and exported, to kuwait where they sell for alot more than they pay for them. I can alost hear them now "Arr, its an old datsun, not worth anything, I'll take it off your hands for free, save you having to try and sell it". I recon 240K's are rarer than 240Z's in Australia.

Maybe someone was having a lend of your friend, "make fun of the tourist" style. Not wanting to hijack the thread, but does anyone know why the 240K was never released on the american market?

The problem with ebay noobies, is that they tend to pay alot more than a seasoned ebayer would, and they bid really early, so they drive the price up. Would be funny if it sells for less than the original owner was asking for it.

Yeah I felt the same way. I was very keen on it the first time, even with the cost of transporting it across the country, but now... I bought another 240Z in the mean time. Still on the lookout for a coupe body locally though.

You should really post something like that on a holden or torana forum, You'd probably get what you paid for it, when selling it to the right crowd.

A new 350Z in Australia is AU$59,990. Thats for the touring model, which is the lowest spec 350Z available for sale in Austrailia. We dont get the 2 cheapo low spec base models offered in the USA.

Probalby because you dont see them when the filters are on, i'd guess.

It's not #1, its just the only car painted that colour from the factory in 1970, as far as I can tell from quickly reading the description.

Mystery car time again. Found a picture of this car on a website. Anybody seen it before? Comments, opinions, etc...

Reminds me of the ebay.com.au auction in which someone was selling a set of these that had been painted red, and the seller swore black and blue that they were standard on the 240z, even though people had sent him messages that they were from a 280zx. He even went as far to say that if you had seen a 280zx these wheels would look too small on in it as its a big car:stupid: Anybody else think the Iron Cross wheels design was inspired by the wheels on the 216X concept car?

Not sure. They are genuine nissan mirrors, and it also has a Fairlady grill. Was like that when the owner got it, (but he just sold it a month ago). Possibly added by a previous owner, maybe bought and added through Datsun/Nissan. I guess we will never know. I'll ask the guy that just sold it if he knows anymore about it.
