'76 280Z AC compressor into '71 240Z?
Hi All, Be leery of stores/shops all of a sudden gouging people for R134a. Apparently there has been a shakeup with some of the manufacturers. I can't back any of this up but I heard that there is only one company in the states that now makes it. Which has led to the massive price increase. I sell 30 pound jugs at my shop. Last weeks price was $240, this weeks price is $380. I'm not sure about the one pound cans but I would assume the price for that will skyrocket as well. FWIW, Chris

Anyone ID this decal?
Thanks Chris, Much appreciated. I wondered what the "ARRC" stood for. I'm surprised it didn't say "SCCA Champ". Then it would have been no mystery for me. ChrisA

Which Ignition System do you use?
The old 72 I had (now Bill's) runs a 280ZX dizzy fired with a Accel HEI module. My 73 is MSD 6AL'd with Blaster 2 coil. Dizzy is single point but I'm looking toward Mallory or another ZX dizzy. Chris

3/4 view of the New Z
I had a 72 that was that color combo. Your's is much nicer that mine ever was. I gave $100 for it and called it "Rusty"

Z-stock In The Midwest??
Ummm.......okay! Sounds like an idea to bring up to my local Z club. We'd have to put up with non S30 cars though. A bunch of Z nuts and their cars at my house would be awesome. My neighbors would finally understand the meaning on my license plates. "Z CRAZY" Chris

Stoopid question
Billy boy, it might idle rough because the throttle shafts and bushings are worn and you are sucking air past them which messes up the mixture. Got to remember those carbs came off an L24 that had about 178,000 miles on them BEFORE they got installed on the L28 you have in the car now. They need to be rebuilt but I know you're wallet can't handle that at the moment. Save your bucks for some Z Therapy carbs. They'll take yours in as cores. Z-ya, Chris

Yeah Stephen, my brother-in-law has a 67 Mark III 3000 BJ8 He's not the least inclined towards cars so I get to tinker with it occasionally. Its a blast to drive and does indeed sound sweet. Chris

Not the Sprite's Bill, they were tiny compared to what you're thinking of. The 3000's were sixes. Chris

Thanks Vicky, I offered to let him drive it, but he's not good with a manual. I took him for a drive in it though.
