1970 combo switch wiring
Thanks Enrique. My headlight/ wiper switch does not have the little white/red wire, nor does it have the black wire with a round female connector. Of the loose wires, it only has the thick black for ground, blue/white for wipers and a red round female. On the t/s side it has a round black male and the green wire. This is totally my fault, I should of labeled. I hope we can solve this problem. Thanks again, Rick.

1970 combo switch wiring
Hello all. I am putting my Z back together and I have all the wires connected except for a black wire on the turn signal side and a red wire on the headlight switch side. Do they go into each other? Or, where do they go? My production date is 10/70. Thanks all. Rick.

It was worth all the trouble !!!!!
Ronnie, the car looks great. Thank you so much for the face plate you sent me. I cleaned it up and painted the raised lettering and it looks great. One more week and my car will be finished. Thanks again, Rick.:classic:

Taillight panels
Hello all. I need your advise. My 1970 taillight panels are the original Gray, a little faded but in good shape all around. I am restoring the car, but the gray looks terrible next to the new orange paint. The car is all original except I put in a 5 speed conversion. Satin black would look really good. I don't know what to do. My wife says I should just paint them, What should I do? Thanks, Rick.

Turn signal switches 70-73, what are the diffs?
I have a 1970 and some of the wires came loose from the solder on my turn signal switch. Can anyone take a picture of the back of the switch and email it to me so I can solder it correctly. Thank you. ricksaia@hotmail.com

Back from paint
Thanks for all the kind words. The reason it took so long was not body work, but the shop belongs to a buddy of mine who gave me a deal. So he only got to it when he had extra time. Plus, I had the whole car media plasted with walnuts. The original orange (918) was burried underneath three different colors. I purchased the car from the original owner. He told me with every different girlfriend he changed the color of his Z. It had set for many years, the nice thing is that the engine is the original and all the parts were in really good shape and all there. Oh yeah, no rust, I apologize to everyone that doesn't live in California, I just lucked out on a great find. Rick.

Back from paint
Isn't she beautiful. After a year and a half, my Z is back home. Now all I have to do is put her back together, that should take a couple of weeks (ha ha).

Why the Z
No other car has as well designed as the dash in a 240Z. They got it right the first time. Outstanding lines and a great interior. Lets not forget the engine and suspension. I could have a Porsche 911 and it would be fun, but not like a Z. If you have one restored, or one that least looks real pretty, you know what I mean. I am on my fourth early 240Z, and there is nothing like it. I am a man of few words, this is my longest reply. Never feel down about restoring any year Z. We have to, it is in our blood. Rick.

How Close Are Our VIN #'s
Ben (v12horse), thank you for the thumbs up on my avatar. No, the picture is not my engine bay yet. It will look like that in about 2 months when my car is finally finished. CDave, I see you live in Florida, was your car purchased in California? The reason I ask is because your vin number is so close to mine. Talk to you all soon. Happy Fourth of July. Rick.
