I agree Carl. She was always very helpful and prompt. I have had to order parts elsewhere as I get ready to have the '78 painted. I ordered a set of emblems and T/L surrounds from Charlie Osborne and I mentioned Chloe. He said he hadn't heard from her in quite a while. He said he supplied her with many items. He thought it was very strange too......
  9. Mike, Car looks great. Our '78 280Z goes for paint early Sept. Can't wait!

  13. I am sure the shop can. I was trying to educate myself. I figured someone here might have just gone through this with their car. I assume it is a base coat/clear coat correct? Thanks
  14. Getting ready to have our '78 280Z repainted Nissan code 611 Wine Red Metallic. Does anyone know the Dupont formula or code for this paint? Thanks

We'll be painting the Z soon! Also picked up some OEM door sill plates, fuse box cover. Now I am looking for the chrome T/L surrounds either redone or used in excellent shape.

Glad to hear she is OK just busy.
  25. My 78 280Z exhibits some bucking but only below a half a tank of gas. I has been explained to me that the fuel pipe in the tank may have a hole in it and when the fuel gets low it starts sucking air & fuel. I fill the car up & it runs fine. The gas tank has been redone, fuel filter cleaned etc. The only way to fix is to pull the tube and basket by drilling another hole in the tank. The fuel tank seems to be a weak point on these cars especially when the car isn't driven much and allowed to sit. I have been told to keep the tank full when storing. Are there no plastic Z fuel tank reproductions? I gotta believe they wouldn't be that costly to make and there is a market for one. I know I'd buy one. Hummmmmm?
