  1. Thanks. I hope i wont have any more issues with leaking fuel from the front carb. Anyway ill get a fire extinguisher as with these cars you never know.
  2. Thanks i guess i got the measurements you wanted on front and rear carb. Next step?
  3. got it! I guess i can use a ruler or measure the 14mm from the top of the float sync block with my Stanley caliper?
  4. You sure thats the measurement? More bending then? What happens if i leave it as it is? Problems while idling in traffic?
  5. This is 23mm measured from the bottom of the lids fown. Want me to keep bending?
  6. Know this an old thread but was wondering how much should i bent the tang? To loolk like a ramp or a street bump?
  7. So bending up or down? Can you specify?
  8. Valve is closing. No over flow at the moment.
  9. Changed the needle valve and bent the ramp as it was not closing the valve. Should i bend it more?
  10. Ok. I was thinking of opening the float chamber and cleaning the needle and seats with carb cleaner.
  11. I guess someone started messing with the float bowls in my 240z. Its a pitty as i never had this problem before. Whats the approach here? I do have a pair of float syncs i purchased during pandemic. Id like to fix this myself guided on your help. 20260605_183714.mp4
  12. But having a 0.7 ohms vs 1.5 ohms coil affects or may damage the petronix 1761 module? Msd has that extra juice.
  13. Im just asking a question regarding compability of parts!
  14. We recently replaced a 1.5 ohms ignition coil with a 0.8 ohms msd blaster 2 coil wired to a 1761 petronix module. Does this really affect the ignition when starting the engine? Any benefit or is it a drawback and the msd coil could have damaged the 1761 module? Any opinion on this? Im having issues cranking the engine when its cold even with the choke wide open it cranks and then stalls.
  15. 0.8 ohms with pertronix 1761 module.
  16. I did noticed mechanic replaced the pertronix 1.5 ohms coil with an msd blaster 2 coil which is connected to a pertronix 1761 module. Dont know if this could be the cause. Ive read you shouldnt use this msd blaster coil with the 1761 module. After the car engine shuts down it take a lot of key turning to crank the engine.
  17. I just managed to tighten it a little bit more avoiding using any teflon or sealant. No leaking. I do notice the engine is shutting down when cold even with the choke pulled all the way back. Any clue on what could be happening?
  18. Thread sealant wins! Hope its cheap!
  19. Okay but using teflon wouldnt affect the reading? I can try and give it a little bit more turn but im afraid of breaking the housing.
  20. I replaced the sender and it now sits in the middle. However it seems to be leaking coolant. Tiny drops. Im really afraid of breaking the base if i overtighten the nut. Any recommendations? Permatex?
  21. Mechanic hided the female plug. Anyway id like to purchase longer cables for both front turn signal lights. Any recommendations?
  22. just did that and it aint working.
