  1. This guys are very slow responding emails. Need another shop!
  2. Car is running a little bit better now with the MSD Blaster 2 coil maybe its masking the problem only. Still testing the car. I did noticed the mechanic adjusted the carbs as follows: 4 turns down each carb, 7 at idle screw for front carburetor and 10 at idle screw for rear carburetor. The fast idle screw when raised to 2500 rpm gave different measures on front and rear carburetors.
  3. Just email them, filled up the form and send them pictures of my original brake booster. Hope to get a response from them so i can ship it from Panama to the US.
  4. Thanks. I live outside the US. Getting such booster into the US will pay an import tax.isnt there any shop that can sell me one instead of doing the exchange?
  5. Im planning on buying a kit to rebuild the brake booster in my 1972 240z. Any reliable kits and how difficult is the reman process?
  6. This is how the msd blaster 2 got wired to the tach, distributor and ballast. Hope im not missing anything. Tach is working but plug 4 is still getting fouled at idle.
  7. Car is running fine with the msd blaster 2 coil. Tach is working.
  8. Well just to let you know mechanic managed to make the 240z tachometer work with the MSD Blaster 2 coil which i believe is 0.7 ohms and pertronix 1711 ingitor module. I hope it doesnt burn the 1711 ignitor.
  9. Does anyone sell these float syncs for su carbs anymore?
  10. You are right! Mechanic should get this engine running with pertronix ignitor module 1761, 1.5 coil and 1.5 ohm ballast.
  11. Ill try it! See what happens. Right now we have the pertronix 1.5 coil installed with 1.5 ballast
  12. The thing is my mechanic solved the rough idle and misfire after take off from long traffic by installing an msd blaster 2 coil replacing the pertronix 1.5 coil and 1.5 ballast resistor. The problem is the stock tach does not work with the msd coil which i believe is 0.7 ohms. Going back to the pertronix, the tach worls but the car runs bad.
  13. So what do you recommend? Keeping the 1.5 ohms pertronix and 1.5 ballast resistor i the circuit?
  14. The tach is back in commission connected to the petronix ignitor 1.5 ohms with ballast resistor. Its a shame you cannot make the 1972 240z tachometer work with the MSD blaster 2 coil. Car was running fine at idle and no hesitation or misfiring even when coming out of long traffic jams. Been fighting this problem for more than 11 years and thought this could be a solution. I guess the MSD blaster coil has more power and keeps the spark plugs clean. Any recommendation?
  15. Just thinking if he wired it incorrectly could it damage the tachometer?
