What's keeping the car from tipping all the over on those jabrones? :stupid: Now that would be funny. Redneck idiots :tapemouth Vicky
  2. Is the fuseable link cover cracked? The valve cover makes a world of difference. Well done! Vicky

$60.00 "buy it now" for all those manuals seems like a good deal. Vicky
  4. Chris, if we have another hurricane season this year like we did last year, your Princess and her plastic palace will be in the gulf  Vicky
  5. Hey Prox, do you have to upgrade your battery or get some kind of battery booster to run all that? I know that some of the newer ricer cars have installed extras plus alot of them have to keep there engines running at shows to access all that stuff. I don't think our basic Z's could handle to much electronics without some kind of help. I know I couldn't keep either of my cars running for the same duration (all day) that the kids do with those DVD and such. That is a nice install job :classic: Vicky
  6. I'm afraid 26th-Z has got you beat, as far as the rust factor, with his 27th-Z. Plus his car came with the glove box option crack pipe. Vicky

Remember all those other vintage American automobiles that Hussein had. I can't believe that those classics had to be destroyed. What was the reason for that? I also remember reading were it just made the troops sick to have to destroy those cars. :disappoin Vicky

I had that same problem on a 78 280Z I once owned. Found out the cold cranking amps on the battery were not enough. Vicky
  11. It sure would be nice if MSA would get the registration up on their site. I remember we were registerd in November or December of 2002 for the 2003 show. I've e-mailed Greg an they said the 1st of January we should be able to get registered. If they claim the show is going to be massive because of the 10th anniversary, you'd think they'd get the forms on line. If I knew for sure the host hotel was going to be the Ramada again, I'd go ahead and at least book a room. Oh well, I'm sure they're working on it. Don't forget to wear you CZC hat so we'll recognize fellow memebers :classic: Vicky
  12. I must disagree with you on that Tomohawk. I think the luxury Z started in 79 with the ZX. The 77 280Z had more HP than any of the 1 gens. To me there is nothing luxury about any of our early Z cars. They are bare bones sports cars for the masses. A/C is about as luxurious as it got. Vicky

Hi Chris Pierre told me that our 1972 240Z was #31 when I verified the vin and color with him prior to my purchase in 2000. I'm going to look at the Vintage Z Registration paperwork I have at home tonite and I'll get back to you. Vicky

Hi Alfa You know why I can say that is because I have one and I can compare it to the 77 that was restored. The Vintage Z is a beautiful car and a fine restoration. We bought the car right off the Z Store showroom floor in 2000. I wanted the car and even a few flaws were not going to keep me from having this unique piece of history. We had to have the rear bumper rechromed. A section was what my husband calls "burnt". I lost points at an AACA show for this. The rubber seal under the drivers door was missing. The drivers door was also missing a door bumper. Of course, these items could have come off during shipping but still. The diamond pattern vinyl over the strut towers has a tiny spot where they cut the material to short. We had the hubcaps repainted due to some scratches. Now most people wouldn't even see this without really looking directly at it. This is what I meant by "fine details". It's really no big deal. I must be a perfectionist when it comes to the car because we take it to high end shows like AACA throughout Florida. All these minor flaws were corrected for a few dollars and I even got the Z Store to reduce the price because of the rear bumper. Of course I'm speaking of my car, not all that were produced for the program. Some could have no flaws and some could have more. Ol' Yeller is close to perfection now :classic: FWIW Vicky

Have the Big Mouth 60mm throttle body from MSA on the 77 280Z. Also increased the size of the intake to match the throttle body. Works great :classic: Vicky

Hi Chris Kudos on all your hard work and research on this unique project by Nissan. Ol' Yeller is a Pierre restoration. I must say that if the bodyman that did ZRush had all the resources that Pierre did, he could have produced the same (if not better) quality job. Pierre and the rest of the shops had time limits thus restricting much attention to "fine" details. I honestly think my husbands 77 is a better restored car and I'm not talking about mods. Then again they are two completely different cars but I've seen what went into the 77. Four years of blood, sweat, many tears and lots of money on a Z that was restored just five years prior by the previous owner. FWIW Vicky
  18. Have one of each! One that's bone stock and one that's modified. That way your covered by the "purists" and the "stock sucks" crowd Vicky
  19. Just checked, MSA is April 22nd through the 24th so I guess we'll be passing through San Antonio the weekend before. Darn, that would have been perfect because the I-10 goes right through San Antonio and we'd be staying in Texas somewhere on our way out to California. Oh well. The ZCCA convention is in Texas for '06 so we'll be there then. Hope to see you then kmack :classic: Vicky

Where the hell do these people come from  I'd love to send some kind of exploding virus back to this jokers computer so when he logs on the screen bursts and he has shards of glass in his freakin' face. :tapemouth Vicky
  21. Yeah, but it's a beautiful song and it never goes out of style Vicky

Good luck on the job Bill. Are you going to give us Z folk discounts on parts and shipping Vicky
  23. That's the weekend before MSA right? We'll be passing through Texas then. It would be cool to stop on the way out to California. Vicky
  24. That would be AAA Vicky
  25. 80's "hair band" tunes. When we go any faster than 45 mph, nothing because you can't hear the radio over the engine/exhaust. Should have put more sound proofing in the car Vicky
