I have one .. do you want pictures? Cheers Bruce
  2. Thanks .. would standard oem slave and master work fine with higher perf clutch? What brand of clutch did you put in ? I am looking at centerforce 2 from motorsport with their light flywheel. Clutch express seems to have good stuff too. They were cheaper flywheel but more expensive clutch kit.
  3. Right now I am trying to decide if I should spend the extra and get the lighter flywheel high perf flywheel. Can someone who has had the old heavy oem flywheel .. and then installed a light one please give me some feedback on if it was worth it etc. Also .. does it really make a difference if you install high perf braided clutch lines or just the regular oem type. Personaly I like the look of the steel braided lines .. but do they actualy perform better? Thanks ..Bruce
  4. thanks .. good to know.
  5. here's a question for all you mechanics .. I have a 77 280 that is FI . Should the rpm s drop when I remove the oil dip stick ..or the oil filler cap in the valve cover. If not .. why would it do this ? The motor almost dies when I do this. thanks .. bruce
  6. Hey .. I just thought I would let you guys in on my great luck. I bought this 77 280 afew months back for .. well lets say cheap. The guy said the auto tranny didnt shift into high gear when it was warm and he also gave me a rebuilt auto tranny with the car. I had to sell my 88 prelude first, and then put the money onto a 5 spd tranny swap and start the running rebuild on the z. Well I just got my asking price for my lude .. no questions .. (see gallery) and the z seems to work fine with no tranny problems. I already have the 5 spd tranny (parts car etc .. see gallery) but it seems the z will get me to and from work (fingers crossed) and wont need to fast track the tranny swap. Aint in great when a plan comes together. BTW .. anyone interested in two really good auto trannys I have for sale ?? Cheers all ..Bruce

Hey guys .. I am about to start the 5 psd conversion and I want to get all the right parts to the mech. Will I need to change the driveshaft length or anything like that? I am not sure what it has for u joints and I want to install new ones .. what do I need for them (how many?) or will I need to change the shaft complete? This is a 77 280 2 seater. Thanks Bruce
  10. What is your opinions of this one .?? I did this one when I was 17 ys old. I am now looking for a great colour for my 280. I am thinking a grey flake with flames on the front. Is there any program out there that will alow you to look at different colours on a z to help decide what paint looks best on these cars?
  11. Hi all .. I am wondering how many people come to this site from the Kelowna BC Canada area. It would be nice to form a club here. Does anyone know of a club close to me? I look forward to hearing from you. Cheers and happy golfing. Bruce

I have posted (in my gallery) some pictures of my 280 z I am about to start ripping into. I was wondering if any of you body guy could give me an opinion on weather I sould replace the front fenders or have the lower part replaced. I know there is no way to tell for sure from a picture .. just your best take on it. The pictures will be up as soon as they pass the guard .. haha Thanks ..Bruce
  13. I agree .. nice car .. I am not a fan of the sun/moon roof .. seems to always leak. But this one looks good.

Who makes the best replacements for front fenders? I think I will need to replace the two fronts on my 77 280 and I would like to hear the good and bad of fitting new fenders. Also .. what do you guys think of fiber fenders? Do we all prefer metal ? Thanks ..Bruce
